Candidates who cumulatively meet the following conditions can apply for the Degree in Nursing at ESESFM:

• have passed a secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification;
• have taken entrance exams (Biology and Geology, or Biology and Geology and Portuguese, or Biology and Geology and Mathematics), in 2018 and/or 2019 and/or 2020, and have obtained a classification equal to or greater than 95 points in these tests scale from 0 to 200;
• have an application grade equal to or greater than 95 points on a scale from 0 to 200.

Mandatory access documents

• 2020 ENES form – original or certified copy;
• Photocopy of the Identification Document;
• Photocopy of the Tax Identification Card.

Candidates who cumulatively meet the following conditions can apply for the Degree in Nursing at ESESFM:

• Are over 23 years of age or have completed 23 years by December 31st, of the year preceding the tests: Portuguese and Biology or Portuguese and Mathematics;
• They are not holders of the authorization to access higher education;
• Are not covered by the international student statute, regulated by Decree-Law no.

Mandatory access documents:

• Updated Curriculum Vitae, with an indication of the educational and professional path;
• Academic qualifications certificate;
• Proof of completion of the prerequisite for group A;
• Photocopy of the Identification Document;
• Photocopy of the Tax Identification Card.

Candidates who have taken the test at another Higher Education Institution and intend to apply to the S. Francisco das Misericórdias Nursing School must submit, in addition to the previously required documents, a statement issued by the Higher Education Institution where they took the test, with indication of the course to which they applied, indication of the tests and the final classification.

• Regulation No. 26-2015 – International Student

All students who do not have Portuguese nationality can enjoy the International Student Statute, with the exception of:

• Nationals of a Member State of the European Union;
• Those who, not being nationals of a Member State of the European Union, have legally resided in Portugal for more than two years, without interruption, on January 1 of the year in which they intend to join the ESESFM, as well as their children residing with them rightfully;
• Those who require entry through the special access and entry regimes regulated by Decree-Law No. 393-A/99, of 2 October, amended by Decree-Law No. 272/2009, of 1 October;

You can apply:

• Holders of a qualification that gives access to higher education, understood as any diploma or certificate issued by a competent authority that attests to the approval of a teaching program and grants them the right to apply for and be able to enter higher education in the country in which it was conferred;
• Or holders of a Portuguese secondary education diploma or legally equivalent qualification.

Only international students who, cumulatively, have:

• Specific academic qualification for entry into the study cycle, which will focus on the subjects of the entrance exams established for the study cycle in question within the scope of the general access and admission regime, in order to ensure that only students are admitted through this competition who demonstrate knowledge in the subjects of the entrance exams of level and content equivalent to those of the students admitted through the general regime of access and Portuguese admission;
• Prove the level of knowledge of the Portuguese language required to attend the Degree in Nursing by submitting a B2 Portuguese language level certificate, or submit to a Portuguese test to be carried out at ESESFM;
• Satisfy the prerequisites established for the degree in nursing, within the scope of the general regime of access and admission.

Mandatory access documents:

• Simple photocopy of Passport or Foreign Identity Card;
• Proof of completion of the prerequisite for group A;
• Document proving the completion of Portuguese secondary education or equivalent;
• Document proving a qualification that, in the country in which it was obtained, grants them the right to apply for and enter higher education in that country, duly validated by the competent authority of that country;
• Document proving the classification obtained.

• › Hold a secondary level double certification course, conferring qualification level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework:

– Professional courses in one of the following areas of Education and Training:

• Carry out the theoretical knowledge assessment test and obtain a classification equal to or greater than ten values.

Assessment of ability to attend the Degree in Nursing

• Final professional course classification – 50%
• Classification in the professional aptitude test – 20%
•  Classification in the knowledge assessment test - 30%

• Professional Course Certificate, with the classification of the professional aptitude test and final average;

• Hold a higher professional technician diploma in the required training areas;
• Carry out the specific test, contained in the Regulation, and obtain a classification equal to or greater than ten values.

• Certificate proving the holder of a Higher Professional Technician diploma with the final classification;
• Proof of completion of the prerequisite for group A;
